This book is really too short...
so much went into details of the scenery etc...

I ve been sending sms to many ppl,
some times to the rate of one per day...
I dun expect ppl to send me as many as I sent out
but I would appreciate if ppl reply or smth...

Group 1
You sms them and they reply your sms. Occasionally, they forward nice sms to you as well. This grp of frens, you shld continue sending them nice sms.

You sms them and they replied. Although they forward any nice sms, at least they reply. Such frens, you can Occasionally forward nice sms to them, at least to keep in touch.

You sms them and they dun reply. But occasionally, they forward you nice sms. They are fine too.

Group 4
Sadly, many of my frens fall under this group. You sms them, and they are like this black hole. Merely suck in sms but no output.

You can try as hard as you wan, thinking perhaps one day, they will send smth nice, but ur effort goes down the drain. No reply of any sort and no forwarding of nice sms.

I have decided to ban this group. I shall not send them nice sms ANYMORE.

there has been an uproar both in Singapore and Australia
but n both having different views on the issue

Personally, I tot the Australians (gahman) a bit exaggerating...
they are making a small issue big...

I read from the forum, one australian wrote in,
she totally stand behind Singapore's gahman
saying how Australian gahmen had not tackled drug problems in Australia causing so many problems in their home land.

I saw how the opposition parties in Australia and some political personnel suggested, in my opinion, childish suggestions like

1. Sanction
2. Bringing the issue to international court
3. Playing SIA cards
4. Boycott Singapore
etc...


This is damn childish!
Cant believe it came out frm the mouth of their political heads...
firstly, sanction against us wld do harm to BOTH countries
no doubt Singapore's economy wld be affected
but I dun think their's wunt be affected

Also, making tat steps will cause a drastic fall in the relationship of the two countries which means:
1. Drop in tourism to Australia
2. Drop in purchase of Australia goods -
such as Australia Wines which overtook france to be the most popular wine in Singapore
3. Drop in students going to Australia -
which forms part of Australia's GDP
4. Singapore may cease to support the motion of allowing Australia to join the Economic grp bet Asean, China and a few other countries..

there is a lot of issue concerned shld they choose to take such steps, affecting both countries...

cos it is a nice movie
and to say its bad, feels like betrayal to smth I believed in

What is the signature of Harry Potter movie?

To me, it is the starting where the movie will start off
with the sound track and camera zooming to Privet drive
from top of the clouds...
and ends off with the students going back to their humans world...
It was all missing from the movie...
In fact, I dun recall there was the soundtrack in the movie...

The movie was cut far too much.
In fact, it was quite a far cry from the book...
I was thinking if they could produce GOF Part 1 and GOF Part II,
It would do more justice to the book
imagines, GOF was probably 5 times thicker than the first 3 volumes
but the movie is almost as long as the previous ones...
In fact, its shorter, abt 2hr and 20mins

and the movie is very different from previous
other than being much darker,
in terms of plot and lighting
the movie was shot in tis very dark lighting...
not much of school life was mentioned too

It was so short that may have left many baffled
if u ppl din rem the book as clearly as I did...
Bingli was shocked I could tell her all the fine details
that would be coming up and missing
she claims that I rem far too much causing me to be so critical of the movie

If you ve watched the movie,
nothing was mentioned of how Harry Potter learnt the spells
needed in the tournaments...

how other sshools fought the dragons was not mentioned,
at all...

and the huge spider in the maze was missing...

and how Rita Skeeter was not register as an animagus was not mentioned
so how are they going to proceed to Order of Pheonix?

Dumbledore din fit in...
he din fit the image of the 1st and 2nd episode of Harry Potter
the ex dumbledore died so they used a new person
whom acted in Lord of the Rings from Prisoner of Azkaban

In POA, he wasn't so bad, wasn't such mis-fit
In GOF, he shouted, yes, (as mentioned by XX)
but tats not really the point...
In my memory, Dumbledore is supposed to be calm and gentle
and his signature quote is definitely

but in this episode, director din catch the spirit of Dumbledore

and started taking pics everywhere

which in my opinion has failed
cos I've got to know that, in fact,
more ppl are switching to other shows
as they are often frustrated by the show

I am not saying that Singaporeans shld be pampered

Singaporeans shld be more realistic

but, we dun need to be overly exposed to such plots bah

to me, this show exaggerates the plot and human's dark character

I was watching Channel Newsasia Yesterday
watching the documentary on Climademic
It was horrifying
to see how the climate may change in the future...

There are two parts to the documentary,
Global Dimming and Global Warming...

It started off with Scientists discovering
that the light intensity
received on earth surface has been dropping abt 10-30%
(long story of how they discovered, email me if u really wan to kn)

and the root cause is due
to the large amount of pollutants
we ve been releasing into the air
and as water condenses on air particles to form clouds

with these pollutants more small water droplets form
and with more water droplets,
huge amt of sunlight is reflected back, like a mirror
many small droplets reflect more light
than fewer but bigger droplets
(think got to do with surface area theory)

they ve significant impact on Earth
causing huge changes to monsoon pattern
and weather patterns...
(which is still very long story, email me if u wan to know)

so solution is to reduce pollution by humans
but here comes another big problem...

Global warming...
Earth has been shielded by the FULL impact of global warming
due to Global Dimming effects...
yet Earth temp has been gradually rising...
which means the impact of Global Warming is really serious
(how they discover tis is also very interesting but long story)
but pollution reduction efforts has started to take effect

hence, earth temp has been rising faster
due to reduction in global dimming

hence, climate scientist predict,
in many years time or so, at abt 2030,
temp may go up by 10degrees!

and tis has huge impact
glaciers and ice caps will melt
countries will be flooded
which everyone knows...

but it doesnt ends here...

tropical forest will be so dry and will start to burn
which will release HUGE amt of CO2
aggrevating global warming
by then, nothing can be done to reverse it
cos it is like a domino effect

if u think all ends here,
u r wrong

once temp reaches so high,
the HUGE reserves of methane gas frozen
in e form of hydrates undersea
will melt and be released

methane is highly flamable
and releases much much more CO2
than our fuels...

and domino effects carry on...
the world will then proceed to doomsday
and self destruct

Sensitive Teeh is a common problem among Singaporeans...
It can come in the form of mild to serious...
pain occurs when u drink cold, hot, sweet or sour food

but u muz understand ur problem first...
for me, I only ve problem with cold food
so even brushing my teeth is a problem
cos I wake up like 0530,
and tap water is like damn cold
so brushing my teeth causes pain...

I went to dentist recently
cos to remove stitch mah...
and I told him my problem...
I even know which teeth (more than 1)

and the dentist showed me the teeth with e problem
apparently, I ve been brushing my teeth too hard
so e gums are receeding...
exposing tis part of teeth which shld be protected
once tis part is exposed,
tats where e pain arises when I drink cold drinks...

so I've decided to teach ppl how to brush properly...
firstly, u muz understand,
we shld not scrub our teeth, but brush lightly
with soft toothbrush

hold the bristles at 45degree and 'jiggle'

continue with the same stroke

we have world class public transport

but in recent years,
we have hardly any improvements
or insignificant ones...

some may say we ve Ez-Link system
no doubt tis is significant...
but is it really working?
the system is still plaque with problems
often over charging passengers
and then say cos ppl alight frm front door

now, it wld make sense to alight frm front door
if u r near e front door n e bus is packed
how to move to e rear door?
and many passengers dun really bother to check their fares
so they are not aware of being over charged

we ve price hikes so often
and they compare to other countries blah blah blah
pls...we ve different situations
not only are our salaries not as high,
e culture is different as well...

now, why dun we say we ve different political system
as other countries?
cos we ve something which fit our culture n country
but they always compare to other countries
when there's price hikes
be it public transport or movie tickets...

price hikes was meant to improve our public transport
which I personally feel is some excuses
cos there is some public uproar
and then they come up with some excuses
but once it cools down, we really dun see much improvement

lets say waiting time
not only it is often unreliable, esp for bus
e waiting time can sometimes be long
(which they will probably say cos of unforseen circumstances
like traffic jams etc)
I waited for 30 min yest for some damn 970!

thou its off peak time, I dun think 30+ mins is reasonable

and the condition of the bus...pukez...
it is not often as clean as we imagine

but the air-con is often leaking

whom I doubt really speak for e commuters

my unit is like 90% poly students...

Then I started thinking wats e difference bet this 2 grps of ppl...

Academic

JC ppl are normally regarded as the group with better results. But there are very smart ppl in poly too... and when poly ppl go uni, I think they know their stuff much better than us... But generally, JC ppl ve stronger language power lah. Of corse there are poly ppl with damn zai language too...like someone in my unit, ang moh damn good too. Some ppl juz prefer the teaching style of poly lor.

Character

It is widely acknowledged that poly students are more practical and flexible than jc ppl. This is smth that army ppl always 'put on their mouth' (sorry, I din fit e bill of typical jc student with very gd ang moh lah). I heard tat so many times when in BMT which kinda irritates me cos its irritating when ur 3SG etc keep repeating tis day in day out... after being posted to unit, they dun really mention tis so often anymore.

I think poly students are more 圆滑, meaning, they are better with words, esp towards other ppl. So they will be able to mingle well with others. But I dun think JC ppl will fail terribly lah. Juz tat not as good. But I supposed tat can be trained once you've entered the work force bah...

Attitude towards Sex

This is smth which I still cannot ve any conclusion. Personally (dun blast me for my view lah), I still think they ve more open mindset towards sex. Probably the jc ppl I mixed with had conservative attitude towards sex. But I ve many poly frens whu told me JC ppl are more horny...Haha...I really dun know...

I really din discriminate poly student hor...

With the recent implementation of
No Smoking in several public places,
I was one of the first to applause for this action.

In fact, when I heard of the call for total ban,
I totally supported the idea...

I am also waiting anxiously for more places to ban smoking,
like KTVs, pubs, clubs and even hawker centres...

I am definitely against smoking...
cos I am asthmatic
and the smoke frm smokers irritates my breathing
and it makes me stink...

passive smokers also stand to be in a disadvantageous position
we suffer more as the concentration of harmful toxic
is higher in the smoke they exhale than inhale

however, there is no clear rule as to where e smokers can smoke
u see, no smoking applies to bus stops
and the 'smart' smokers then choose to smoke JUZ
outside e sheltar
but it is still damn near and the smoke still irritates others

I m always on mercy of smokers...
in BMT, I got bronchitis thou I m not sure of exact cause
but I suspect the smokers played a big part
as I've read and smoking is the main cause of bronchitis

(I shall classify them as either good or bad looking, no middle one)

1. Bad Looking with bad acting - so bu yao nian... its bad enuf if u dun ve good looks (I am evil, haha)...ur acting like tat u still dare go up...haha...and pls dun try to sing so horribly can or not?
(joking only lah..they not really tat bad looking juz tat they not good looking lah. sound better?)

Verdict - OUT

2. Bad Looking with not bad/good acting - fate is cruel... u muz ve looks to get into tis entertainment field...acting skills are not everything... without looks, u will end up as extras...

3. Good Looking with poor acting - Too bad too... thou u ve looks, but U STILL need the basic acting skills... but most prob they may consider u as extras still... or train ur acting skills... u still stand much better chances than ppl mentioned above...

4. Good Looking with ave/good acting - You are the lucky grp then... Ur acting skills may not be up to standards yet... but with ur looks and current acting skills, u stand MUCH higher chances to be the future Ah Ges and Ah Jies...thou if ur acting skills are so-so, with ur looks, u've killed the judges alrd...

I saw her a few months ago
