Birthday Celebration - 1 Dec 06
With the celebration spanning over 3 days, be prepared to be flooded with tons of photos!
If you are still using dial-up, advice to you would be, load this page and leave it aside for 10mins? Think by then photos shld ve all been loaded...
We started off the 3-day-celebration with a dinner last friday at this 36-year-old korean restaurant at Specialist Centre. The lady was shocked to hear from us that we have never been here since it existed for 36 years... (-.-")

Kamsahamida, I'm here for 36 years! I've been waiting for you for so long!
Ambience was rather authentic
(since I've been to korea twice! muaahhaaa)

This restaurant has been name restaurant of the year in 2000 and 2005!
We chose to sit at the section where you would eat like a true korean would - eating while seated on the floor. But we weren't allowed to BBQ our own food here which I din mind since I din want to stink like a walking BBQ pork skew after the whole thing.

Eating like a TRUE Korean! Do as the Romes do when in Rome!
The uncle and the pig din even touch the side dishes... Not many ppl would as majority of the 'first timers' would find the side dishes, especially the Kimchi, taste offensive and weird...

Side dishes...a common sight at korean restaurants...
And Koreans use metal utensils. If I am not wrong, I've heard of 2 versions. First version was that metal utensils can be used to detect any poisons in the food. The next version is, the utensils are made from metal to refrain ppl from picking up their bowls etc as it is rude to do so.

Wow, a weight lifting session-cum-meal!
We ordered several dishes. In fact, we over ordered, as usual esp with uncle around. In the end, we over ate... Sigh... I've decided to go on diet for the next few days. Bing Li and I came to the conclusion that we became quite sick of food over the past few days! This is amazing since we have never been 'sick of eating'!!!
Anyway, one of the dishes ordered was this dish whereby you use lettuce to wrap some meat and garlic and some korea special chilli sauce... If you've watched Princess Hours, you should be familiar with this dish.

Pork Meat to be wrapped in the lettuce

Chicken Meat to be wrapped in the lettuce

The lettuce, garlic and the special chilli sauce
Joke of the session:
Uncle:
What is this? (pointing to the special korean chilli sauce)
Is it Satay sauce?!
Me:
(-.-") (-.-") (-.-")
This is korean restaurant leh...
Me:
Can you ask the auntie whether they serve Tom Yum Soup here?!
Uncle:
(Not catching the immense sarcasim)
Hmm...let me ask the auntie bah...
Pig:
HAHAHAHA!
Me:
(-.-") (-.-") (-.-")

Some VERY healthy dish with lots of vegatables...
I love this 'korean pancake' cos it look and tasted like carrot cake! Thou not exactly carrot cake, but it tasted nice...

Korean Pancake? I think Korean Carrot Cake more apt...
Uncle and Pig dislike the Kimchi Fried Rice as they found the taste rather weird... I find it ok but was simply too full to finish the rice...

Kimchi Fried Rice
Finally, MY RECOMMENDATION!
Ginseng Chicken!!!
I once at this Ginseng Chicken as this super famous shop in Korea. It was superb! But that was the first and the last time cos the second time I had in Jeju sucks big time.
This time, I specially ordered Ginseng Chicken, hoping to find that taste back. Though it did not come close to the Ginseng Chicken which mersmerised me... but definitely much better than e one I ate in Jeju.
I forgot to mention, in Ginseng Chiecken, it is supposed to be stuffed with Glutinous rice... which shld ve absorbed all the essence...
MMMMMMmmmmMMMM!!!
Woohoo!!!

Yummy Ginseng Chicken!!!
Iwan was so yaya someone said he looks younger than me!!!
WTH?!?!?!
I am YOUNGER than him by TWO years PLUS leh!!!
Who's that blind ass?!
!##$%&%^**(
Anyway, this is the first time I have taken photo with my new specs, which both Iwan and Pig claims to be nicer than the previous pair. but this pair looks more studious isn't it? Anyway, I've re-coloured my hair, for the TAIWAN trip! muaahhaaa.... This is the third colouring done. Din manage to post any pics of my ash coloured hair... But ash din suit me very well due to my PALE complexion... muaahhaaa... Opps... getting vain like our vainpot mama a.k.a. uncle... (-.-+)

New specs, new hair colour... but doubt you guys can see it! haha...
I am so touched by Uncle and Pig! Especially Uncle!
I was flooded with gifts on Friday!
First to come was this SPECIALLY made card!
(thou the theme din really suit a birthday card but "It's the thought that counts!")

A box?! Nah... It's a birthday card!

Now, the truth starts to unravel!
It's a VERY nice card! Though I can see it was perfectly done, but this is in fact a handicraft and it's not made by our beloved Tee Wei De mah... LoLz...
Anyway, pasted inside are many pictures of the three of us! And some of the pictures, Argghhhh...., were those that I WOULD NEVER wanted to show you guys. Like one pic of my pouting. Who's the idiot who chose that photo?!?!?! *paisei*
Jokes aside, the photos were laminated with special film! And turn out to be very nice! Woohoo!
Thanks for the WONDERFUL card!!!

Nice Nice Nice!!! YEAH!!!

WooHoo!!!

See that pouting photo?! Haha... not going to make it so clear lah...
Look at the wishes made by pig! @#%$"!@#%$;*()

What kind of birthday wishes are these?! Turn one round to shoot me... Haiz
And Uncle Iwan was super nice! He knew I wanted a few items and he went to buy for me secretly behind my back! I din really know he will buy for me...
There was one day when we went to Queenstown shopping and he told me he was looking for gifts for his friend. I din know tat 'friend' was me and so I gave him my opinions on those items he was choosing. He ended up buying ALL the items I said 'nice'...
Wow!
He bought 3 Adidas shorts, 1 Nike Shoe Bag and 1 Adidas Lanyard!
I love the lanyard especially! It's now used to hang my Handphone!
Heehee!!!

Flooded with Gifts! ('',)
We went to Orchard Road to view the Christmas lightings!
I love the christmas atmosphere!
Basically, I love festive seasons like X'mas and CNY!

It's raining Gold!

Whole Stretch of Golden Lightings! Splendid!

Pig's favourite X'mas tree cos it's made of Swarvoski Crytals

Streets lined with Golden Trees too!

Everywhere is gold!
Seen this silver-painted man several times at Orchard Road...
