Mature Or KS?

It is a commonly acknowledged fact that guys are damn bia in uni...

Dictionary

Bia - (adj) SUPER Hardworking

I was asking Bing Li the other day:

Do you think guys are super bia because -

a. They've matured after NS and starts becoming hardworking?
b. They've lost touch of studying after 2 years of slavery and realised the necessity to bia?

She think's it's the later. She thinks that most probably, guys realise they've lost out 2 years of their lives and there is a need to 'bia'...

What do you think?

Holiday Mansion Saga

We initially planned to stay at Samran Place during our Thailand Trip.
It's Cheap and accessible mah...

However, it was fully booked and we had to change our plans...

I wanted a hotel which is decent, clean and easily accessible.
We could have stayed at Asia Hotel but the Triple room was rather expensive.
Other alternatives were either too expensive or not accessible.

In the end, we chose to stay at Holiday Mansion, Twin Room for the three of us.

It is slightly more expensive than Asia Hotel but cos we ve to squeeze in 3 person, I chose another Hotel.

I've stayed in Asia for a few times and it is not exactly big.
But it is very accessible.

We did not know they forbid 3 person staying in twin room cos I've done this b4 mah...

We arrived at Holiday Mansion only to be quite disappointed cos it looks a little run down.
and it is quite deserted lor...as in not many occupants...

The lift was spoilt and we had to climb e stairs up.
It looks damn eerie...
sort of like e horror movies made in HK...
and e stairway was cluttered with stuff so if there is a fire, how to escape?

The corridor had this mouldy smell too...

The room was ok cos it is quite big lah...

On the next morning, three of us went for our breakfast in e hotel.
We were given 6 coupons for 3 days of breakfast (since it's a twin room)
but we decided to split e coupons for 3 person for 2 days...
I dun think our maths failed...

We went in and they took our coupons and din say anything.
By the time we were leaving, they told us that our room only for 2 person so we ve to pay an additional share!

WTF?!

We went to talk to the counter ppl lor.
He was damn rude to us...

When we told him we wanted to split our 6 coupons for 3 person over 2 days, he told us we cant do that...

That is juz so rigid lor...

And he told us we booked a twin room so we are not supposed to ve 3 person staying.
I counter argued tat it is not stated on their Rules or Terms of Conditions wat...

After awhile, he told us we would ve to pay for e third person for 3 days and I told him but we din get any additional bed for e first nite so we are not paying for the first nite mah...

He was pissed off but eventually relented.

He asked us to pay 600baht for e remaining 2 nights and I was super pissed cos I asked e counter personnel during our arrival and it is supposed to be 500baht.

He shld be more honest with us instead of overcharing us.

In the end, he was pissed and we were pissed so I simply told him I want to check out lor...

Iwan and Bing Li were shocked by my decision but I was really fuming with tat manager's service level.

Thou both of them were pissed too but Bing Li admitted she may juz pay lor...
This hotel is run down and we are paying so much...

In the end, we went to check in at Samran Place thou it is more expensive than booking online cos we are checking in upfront mah...

Turns out that the service level here is way better and you can feel that this is a hotel cos there are other occupants around!

LoLz...

So my advice is Stay At Samran Place for budget and ease of travel. Stay at Asia Hotel if you want more comfort...

I wrote my review for Holiday Mansion over http://www.asiarooms.com/reviews/holiday_mansion-hotel-review/141657.html.

Letter 2

The choice of close friends is very important to me. There is a Chinese saying “学好三年,学坏三天”. Although it seems exaggerated, it can be true. Fall into bad company, and it won’t take long for one to learn all the bad things that will destroy one’s life.

One soul was MSNing me abt 2 of my good and close friends.. His words or sentences did make a deep impact on me.. Sometimes, i just don know why some people behaved this way... What did i do wrong to deserve all this... If you want to know, i DONT REALLY have much friends..But i am just glad to GOD cos he gave me WD and BL, as my close friends... There is this one saying “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

WD and BL, yes, i really appreciate it when we are together and no doubt as we are getting busier and busier, and it is indeed inevitable we will spend lesser time together.. i understand that ok..No worries.. We may not be in the same University but i believe that the workload we will be facing in the future will be the same..

To the person who was MSNing me abt 2 of my close and good friends..:

Dear ..............( don really want to say your name to spare u the agony),I'm not really all that judgmental about anyone. And I don't expect much of people and because of it I'm seldom disappointed. If I had to describe what ingredients they have that makes them a good friend, I would say most of all: they're truthful and not a liar. They doesn't have all the same values I do, but most of them. I wouldn't expect them to be a carbon copy of me, but they practically is, however with a number if differences. When they criticizes me, I know they means it for my own good. When they tells me I'm wrong, because I have faith in their knowledge, I do a self examination of my opinions. We never get mad about what we say to each other. One of the reasons is that we are very respectful of each other despite differening opinions on a wide number of topics. We agree on many things, but not all. If I had to sum it up in a word, it would be "Respect."

I treat people the way i expect to be treated, which is with the utmost respect, and always with honesty. I want friends to have some of the same qualities that are inside of me. I want my friends to be honest, sincere, genuine, outgoing and everyone needs to have a sense of humour. A friend is someone that can tell it to you and be straight forward when asking for an opinion and be there when the chips fall. I look for friends that may have different interest but we share common likes and each person that gets to know me, know's that i will be there for them. Each friend i get to know is unique and has qualities in them that I admire and finding friendship that grow throughout each other lives..

I'd say a friend is a great lifetime partner if we keep the relationship within boundaries. Some might think they have some motives behind it, and this shouldn't be the case. Most often than not, we do things sincerely for a friend, not asking things in return -- but too bad some people don't think this way. I think we fit together in each others lives like an old comfortable pair of shoes and we appreciate each other in our hearts.
(Hmm...why compare me to a pair of OLD shoes??!! LoLz)

In a friend, i look for someone i can just be myself with..Someone i trust to confide in and know whatever i say i won't be judged. True friends are rare, so i value my friendships with WD and BL and guard them with my life..... I just want to tell u this: If you are going to be friends with someone you have to trust them. If at any time you realize you can't, then you have to end the friendship. All human contact is based on trust. We dont have to like all the same things - we can be as different as night and day but a friend of mine will have me as i am - and me have them as they are..

So i am sure by now, you know how close i am with them.... I just love them.. They are the nicest frens i ever had and i am so grateful to be blessed with a friend like WD and BL...

I "Know" many people...but very few I call Friends. I think it's only possible to have a small handful of really good friends. The rest usually turn out to be back stabbers.

A word of advice from me to you:

You got to trust your friends... Friendship is built with honesty, loyalty, good natured, smart, knows when and where to say what. Of course, those qualities are vice versa, and u gave me an impression you are not honest with your friends at all.. Alot of uncertainities... So let me emphasised this that no matter how hard people tries to create distrust between WD, me and BL, our friendship would only get stronger.

Sorry for the broken english, grammar errors, vocab errors and spelling errors as i know my english is bad and i don really want to use perfect english when i am blogging. ***** ,i just hope you understand the message that i am driving at....

Regards,
Iwan

Dear Iwan,
I'm sure you are clear who are your friends and who aren't.

Don't be bothered by what the freak said. He has the rights to his own views and opinions. He can try to create distrust among us but I'm sure we won't fall into his dirrty tricks.

If Bing Li and I are merely 'keeping you company cos we are too free since it's the start ofthe university life', what are the purpose of that? Are we too boring with our current life? We don;'t have any other frens to go out with in our life? Or maybe we just want you to pay for all our expenses?

We have other things to do in life and we are not 'money suckers' (we are always takign turns to treat each other isn't it?) so I cant fathom why we would be doing that. And if some freaks think Bing Li is 'so free', probably some ppl ve never gone to university.

No doubt, we will only get more and more busy and it is indeed inevitable that we may spend lesser time with you. But I'm sure you would understand. We are juggling our studies with our personal time.

I thank the freak for his 'kind' advice cos I am very sure no matter how hard he tries to create distrust between you, me and Bing Li, our friendship would only get stronger. If we are as described, I don't understand why would we be planning for our Taiwan trip during year end even thou it has not been confirmed yet.

Thank you.

Regards,
Tee Wei De

Thailand...Sawadekaa....

So sorry for the lack of posts...

It's really busy in uni, thou basically we dun ve any tutorial and practicals in the first 2 weeks, yet...

Digress....

I ve been back frm Thai for almost a month...
Shall post the pictures, finally...
Sorry for the delay...

As mentioned b4, Iwan's mum won a pair of Jetstarasia's air tickets to thailand in a lucky draw...

So Iwan asked me and Bing Li to go Thailand
I was VERY unwilling cos I ve been there 3 times!!!
and this would my 3rd time to Thailand in less than a year!

Argghhhh...
Being the kind soul, I finally agreed cos they insisted that they will not go if I'm not going...

Dirty tricks...
(-.-")

Since it's their FIRST time travelling, I became the tour guide and 'role model'

I have to ans very lame questions all e time...
it's like a field trip with 2 primary kids...
Muaahhhaaahhhaaa....
(They are gonna kill me)

Questions like:
Why we have to take MRT to the airport?

Will there be blankets on e plane?

Will there be meals?

...

Answer is always simple:
This is a 'budget trip' taking BUDGET AIRLINE (of the year)...

DSC00120
A Blur pic taken on e train to Changi Airport...

DSCF0036
Bing Li is so excited on the plane since it's her first time! 'So exciting!!!' (~~)

P1010395
This is my first time on a plane! Yeah!

P1010397
Thailand! Here we come!

First thing we did after we alighted was to get a cab to our hotel.

Advice: Do not take e transport services offered in e airport.
Walk out to the taxi queue instead. It's WAY cheaper...

We got a cab to Holiday Mansion.

Warning: Don't ever stay in Holiday Mansion. Sucks... Will be telling you guys e whole 'Holiday Mansion Saga'

Being youngsters (except for maybe an uncle with us), we were swift.
Put down our luggages in the hotel and off we go immediately.

The first place we went to was the Erawan Shrine.
This is the first time I'm here since the statue was destroyed in May.

DSCF0043
Nothing much has changed...

The following pictures aren't in chronological order

Went to Dream World, very different frm the one in Australia
The weather was FUC*ing hot when we arrived...

DSCF0090
Queued for 20mins for a 2mins' ride...

DSCF0091
No thrill... but Iwan din dare to take thou... LoLz

After much coaxing... Uncle agreed to take this ride with us
LoLz

DSCF0092
This is more like it, more thrilling than Hanging Coaster

This is the best ride of all...
It felt great but I has to pester Bing Li to take with me.
By the time we took the ride, it started to drizzle...
Arghhh...

DSCF0099

That's what a ride should be!

We came in with a freaking hot weather and left with a heavy rain!
WTH??!!!

By the time we left the place, we were soaking wet!
From top to toes!!!
Even thou we had umbrella, the rain was simply too heavy!!!

We went to the famous MBK as well...
Bought all the souvenirs of the Pork Floss Sticks etc...

Bing Li was still as stingy and bought one packet of each stuff...
only to regret when she got home...

We went there quite late and almost all the shops were closing...
Luckily we were there in time b4 e pork floss shop closes

DSCF0106
It's damn big! But very disorganised...

DSCF0114
Thailand's railway system...

I don't understand why.
Both of them felt in love at first sight (with this pink taxi)
They kept wanting to take pink taxi...
too bad, we din ve e chance cos whenever we wanna take cab, no pink cab in sight...

DSCF0116
Pink Cab... What's so interesting? ?(-.-)?

We went to take Water Taxi at Thailand's Famous Chao Praya River

Advice: Don't buy e tickets at e booth in ur hotel. More expensive. Go down to the river urself and bargain for the price of the tickets...

DSCF0149
Water Taxi...

DSCF0135

Iwan was quite amzed that they ve 'street signs' on the river as well...
Quite interesting...

DSCF0139
'Street Signs'!

I was telling them that e ppl staying along e river uses e water for MANY purpose
like bathing, cleaning etc...

See, told u so...

We started this lame conversation of whether u wld live here for a month given a reward of 1 milllion...

Warning...

An email sent to me...

Warning:
Hello Friends,
I just want to share with you a terrible experience we had when we traded-in my mother-in law cellphone at the CYBER JIN Pte Ltd (Lucky Plaza #B1-81,near 7-eleven) this weekend.

The story goes like this; my Mom wanted to trade-in her old cellphone to buy a brand new N70. We accompanied her to the Lucky Plaza hoping we could get a good bargain. Then we found this store that agreed to buy my Mom's cellphone for $220 and would charge us only $550 (net) for an N70 under the condition that we do both transactions (buy and sell) with them. So far, this store offers us the best bargain compared to other stores from the rest of the building. We agreed to their transaction proposal as we were then in a bit of a hurry (she was only a tourist and would stay in Singapore for only 4-days).

However, when we were about to pay, the salesman suddenly told us "Why do you want an N70? This is a very bad phone. In fact this is one of the most problematic phones of Nokia."

He immediately caught our attention and in fact gained our trust (imagine a salesman telling you that a product you are about to buy from him is not worth the money you are paying it for). He then proceeded to make his presentation about why we should not buy an N70 and even said "If you really want it I can sell it to you but please know that we've heard a lot of complains about it".

Afterwards, he brought out an N6280, which he said was by far a better phone than the N70 at almost the same price (he even gave another short presentation of its advantages). Of course, since he already gained our trust, we found his presentation very convincing. We bargained for the phone and he said "I can give it to you at just $555 (net)".

After being impressed by a convincing presentation, my Mom agreed to trade-in her old cellphone for $220, and buys the brand new N6280 for $555(This means that she just would have to shell out another $335).

We told the salesman that we would pay by Nets and we gave him our card. While paying, he tried to sell to us a 64Mb mini-SD Card for $20. We said we did not want it (as my mother wouldn't use it anyway). We proceeded with the transaction, got our phone and asked for the receipt.

The salesman said that the Nets certificate would be our receipt. Should we encounter any problem, we just look for him and he would be happy to assist us. Since we are in a hurry, we took our phone and nets certificate and left. While we were leaving, he handed us the 64Mb mini-SD Card and said "Take this as a free gift from me".

After a long day of sight seeing and a little shopping, we finally got home and my mom finally had her first chance to test her new cellphone.

To her surprise, the supposedly brand-new cellphone had contact numbers (some even had photo-contacts) of some people in its phone memory (meaning it was used and wasn't brand new!). We then checked the phone's serial number (IMEI#) and again to our dismay, we found out that the phone's IMEI# doesn't match the IMEI# listed in the box.

We did a research to see what other things the salesman tricked us into
believing and we found out that the 64Mb SD Card that he was trying to sell us for
$20 was in fact part of the phone's original package (some other things listed as part of the original package as seen from brochures were also missing). Not just that, we checked the Nets certificate, and learned that he charged $355 instead of just $335 (so sneaky, we didn't even notice!). Worst of all, we found that the price of the N6280 from neighboring stores is just $450(net) while he sold it to us for
a total of $575! (Including the extra $20 we did not notice that he charged us
through Nets).

Imagine how disappointed my Mom would be after knowing that she bought a cellphone that is not just $100+ overpriced but is also isn't brand new as we were made to believe (plus the fact that some of the components from the original package were removed and the that salesman charged more than what we had agreed).

The next day, we went back to the store to complain and get a refund. The salesman said that he couldn't give us a refund. What he can do is to buy the cellphone we bought from him a day ago for $575, and give us ONLY $300 (does he think we're that stupid!!!)... We did not agree and insisted a REFUND; during our discussion one of his colleagues shouted,

"Give them a new box so that they would leave!!!" (He's so rude!)

I don't know how stupid these people think we are if all we came for was to get a new box.... I told them that if they wouldn't refund our money, we would report this matter to the police. They just gave an insulting grim and said "Go ahead, we'll see you in court" and then one of them lit a cigarette (inside the shop), and smoked in front of us and along the hallways of the mall (while wearing that insulting smile) as if telling us that he is not scared of the police. In fact, he can smoke in
a "No Smoking Zone".

While we were leaving (to complain to the police) we came across an Indian couple who owns souvenir shop nearby and told us that this (our incident) happens almost every week. The Indian lady said that this store always gets complains from tourists but are always able to get away with it because tourists usually would just go away.

She also said that this store avoids (if they can) giving receipts to unsuspecting customers to cover their fraudulent transactions. She suggested that if we can, we should complain these people to the authorities because they make Singapore look bad. We went to the security department of Lucky Plaza and the security people helped us contact the police.

The Lucky Plaza security people also admitted that this always happens but it's just not their jurisdiction so they really cannot do anything about these incidents other than making a report to the police. The security people also advised that it is illegal for a store not to issue a proper receipt detailing all transactions to a customer. This means that the Nets certificate that we have (although having the store name and address) is not a valid receipt after all.

The police came, talked to us and told us to wait for them at the security counter of the mall while they went to the store and talked to these people. We told the police that we want a refund because we were cheated and do not trust these people or any of their products anymore.

We also reported that the store did not issue a proper receipt. The police went to the store, talked to the manager and came back to tell us that the manager's suggestion was to give us a new N6280 (one that matches the IMEI of box and the unit!!!) so that all of these would be settled. We told the police that we want a refund and we don't want to do any business with them. Then, the Police suggested that we file our complaints to CASE, because they are not the right person for
these kinds of situations.

As of now, we are gathering all evidence we can that could help when we file our complaint to CASE. We are hoping that the Nets certificate that we have will suffice as one of our evidences. We are no longer interested of the refund, what we want now is to teach these crooks a lesson so that they will stop cheating other people.

Let this email be a warning to you and your friends. Always check a product very well (research if possible) before buying and always make sure you get a 'detailed receipt' of all your transactions.

Never fall prey on these predators waiting for unsuspecting customers.

Joke of the Day

A Singaporean was on holiday in Malaysia..
He was having his coffee, croissants, bread, butter & jam at the hotel's coffee house.

A Malaysian man who was chewing gum, sat down next to him & started a casual conversation.

Malaysian : "You Singaporeans eat the whole bread?"

Singaporean : "Of course."

Malaysian : "We don't. In Malaysia, we only eat what's inside. The crusts we collect in a container, recycle it, transform them into croissants & sell them across to Singapore."

The Malaysian then had a smirk on his face while the Singaporean listened in silence.

Malaysian : "Do you eat the jam with the bread?"

Singaporean : "Of course."

Malaysian (chuckling): "We don't. In Malaysia, we eat fresh fruit for breakfast, then we put all the peels, seeds & other left-overs in a container, recycle them, transform them into jam, before we sell it across to Singapore."

This time, the Singaporean retorted : "Do you have sex in Malaysia?"

Malaysian : "Why, of course we do"

Singaporean : "Do you wear protection"

Malaysian : "Of course! We wear condoms."

Singaporean : "And what do you do with the condoms once you've used them?"

Malaysian : "Stupid question ! Of course we throw them away."

Singaporean : "We don't. In Singapore, the government secretly puts them in a container, recycle them, melt them down into chewing gum & sell them across to Malaysia,... & that's the real reason why we banned chewing gum in Singapore."

Bing Li's Treat!!!

Bing Li treated us to Lao Bei Jing on Saturday.

To be precise, she lost a bet with me over some weight issues.
But she treated Iwan cos Iwan had always been very nice to us.
(But I do suspect some underground relationship going on...Shhhh...dun say i say one hor...)

DSC00124
It's a miracle that Bing Li's treating! Woohoo!!!

Most of the dishes served here are Chinese food...
I mean food from China btw...

DSC00125
Vainpot Mama's posting for me! LoLz...

We were dumb to get all e cheapo food...
LoLz...
In fact, most of the cheapo food weren't very nice (esp the noodles)

By the time we started ordering all the Guo Tie and Jiao Zi etc...
We were getting full liaoz...

(-.-+)

DSC00126
It's tough finishing the food with a uncle who eats little... Sigh...

It's the time of the year again.
We are celebrating 41st Anniversary since Singapore gained Independence!!!

Whenever I watch NDP each year, the finale -
(singing by the Choir and the Fireworks always gives me goosebumps...)

DSC00123
We the citizens of Singapore... Cant wait for NDP!!!

Since there was a fireworks show on Saturday,
we walked to Merlion Park from PS.

Not very far but both BL and Uncle have damn poor sense of direction...
They actually suggested taking MRT
(from Dhoby Ghaut to City Hall??!!!)

DSC00128
Nice view but my camera isn't that good...

We arrived at 7.00pm...
Uncle told us it is starting at 8...
But in fact, it started at 9.00...
(~~")

DSC00132
Night view... This time, everywhere is damn packed!

I heard this fucking irritating comment from Uncle:

Uncle: Sometimes, I wonder why Singaporeans like to take pictures here and there when they live in Singapore! (Me taking the above pictures at that moment)

Me: (Turning around and staring at him) Are YOU refering to me?!

Uncle: Ermm.... Ermmm... nah... (ya right!)

Moments later...

(Uncle started taking out his handphone and started clicking around taking pictures)

Me: Excuse me! Aren't YOU living in Singapore har?!

Wat The Hell?!

DSC00139
Fireworks!!!

Was recoding some video clips for u guys but apparently, I forgot to save it...
ROFL...

DSC00141
I love this one!!!

DSC00142
Blur picture again...

Teh whole show was supposed to be synchronised with the music
but Bing Li and I felt that it wasn't really synchronised thou...

Good things are short...
We waiting for 2 hours for a 15min show...
Very nice thou

After watching the fireworks, we went to Harry's at Esplanade.

DSC00144
Harry's... Bing Li wanted to ve a drink! This is her first time drinking!

DSC00146
Random Pictures...

The pro (Uncle) recommended some drinks to Bing Li while I sticked to my 'chocolate milk')

DSC00148 lime margerita
Sex on the beach, Lychee Martini and Bailey's Irsh Cream (top left clockwise)

DSC00149
Uncle is such a drinker! Ordered this JUG of Lime Margerita

It is lile some freeze...
reminds me of 7-eleven's slurpee...
LoLz...

DSC00150
I din know that was salt until uncle pointed out to me... BL and I are so suan gu...

BTW, we discovered smth...
I will be a good french kisser in the future...

ROFL!!!

Cos according to a taiwan variety show,
if you can tie a knot using a cheery's stalk in ur mouth using ur tongue,
you will be a good french kisser...

DSC00151
Uncle and BL were amazed by me... LoLz

HK - Shen Zhen - Zhu Hai - Macau : Part 4

We travelled back to HK on Day 6 since we have a flight to catch frm HK airport on e last day (Day 7).

Back to this huge oven...

Sigh...

DSC00089
Can you believe this?! The buildings can be this state?!

Finally we got to stay in a decent hotel in HK.
Rates in HK can be so high tat we can only afford e average ones...

Stayed at Prudential Hotel.
The lobby looks quite nice thou it is quite warm...

Wonder how e front desk personnel tahan e heat in their coats!

DSC00090
Sorry for the blur picture! Haha... Paisei...

DSC00091
Nice furnishing...

We went to try HK's famous Wanton Noodles...
We came to this conclusion - Singapore serves better noodles with more ingredients and cheaper too...

A bowl of super simple noodles like e one below cost 5bucks!
No vegetables, only noodles and 5 wanton - 5 bucks!

But I have to admit their wanton taste better cos i cant aste e prawn.
But I prefer Singapore's one...

DSC00092
So expensive... Things in HK aren't cheap...

You can order a plate of vegetables.
If you wan to add oyster sauce, pay another more lor...
Unbelievable...

DSC00093
Only noodles and few wantons! No vegetables?!

Took the pictures opf their buses.
The ones we get so see so much in TV serial dramas...

DSC00094
'Xiao Ba'!

HK has quite a few street markets...
It's where you are supposed to get cheaper stuff
but the staff aren't frenly...

If you want to ask for discount, some of them just tell you off -
"Take it or leave it"

DSC00096
Lelong!!! Lelong!!!

This is the Woman Street...
Things definitely aren't cheap here since it is one of the tourist attraction.
You must bargain with them...

Heard e govt plans to relocate this street and move all e vendors to a centralised building...

DSC00097
Welcome to Woman's Street!

This marks the end of my trip...

Will be blogging on my thailand trip soon but expect few pictures since this is the 4th time I'm there...

Hong Kong - Shen Zhen - Zhu Hai - Macau : Part 3

In China, there are so many Sex Shops!

It seems to be everywhere.
We have this impression that China is very conservative.
But Singapore may be more conservative in this area.

1
So many Sex Shops?!

Zhu Hai and Macau are connected, juz like Singapore and Malaysia.
We only had to cross this custom, thou I don't understand why since Macau is part of China.

Apparently, Macua still heavily uses Portugal language.

DSC00060
Entradas?

DSC00064
The gate juz in front of the custom...

Macau is a very small place.
It is made up of 3 islands.

The city is small, dirty and there are so many cars.
Overall it seems similar to HK But the architecture there is quite unique.

DSC00065
Heading to the church which was burnt...

Some say this church is just not meant to be.
It was built in 18th century (I think so lah)
The church caught fire 3 times and the last one destroyed most of the church.

What is left is just one small part of it.

DSC00067
A landmark in Macau now

This street is full of souvenirs which is why it is call Souvenirs Street
You can get e famous e Almond Biscuits and peanut candies.

DSC00071
So much almond biscuits to try! FOC!!!

How can I miss out the Golden Sands casino?
Hope the one in Singapore is more unique thou...

DSC00070
Golden Sands!

We went for a half day tour in Macau.
Since Macau was so small, we went back to Zhu Hai on the very same day.

In fact, if you plan to go Macau, stay in Zhu Hai instead.
Cos they are so near, might as well stay in Zhu Hai since it is MUCH cheaper to stay in Zhu Hai.

I walked past one of the food vendor in Zhu Hai.
Inside e cages are animals like snakes etc!!!

DSC00056
YUCKS!

Cos the food in China is so much cheaper, we ordered a lot.
and I am paying my 'debt' now...
Cos I gained weight over there...
Arghh...

DSC00075
Bing Li and Iwan, stop salivating!!! Glutons!

There is this famous Seafood Streets in Zhu Hai.

Everything is fresh!
MMMmmm...

DSC00080
So many ppl!

There is quite a wide variety to choose from.
What should I choose?

DSC00081
So many seafood to choose!

I came across this HUGE fish!
Astonished...

So suan gu...
Cos knowing is one thing, seeing is another thing

DSC00083
WTF is that thing?!

After choosing the live seafood you want, you simply go to any restaurant and ask them to cook...

DSC00084
The fresh steamed crab was nice... Never really liked crab but this is so nice!

In Zhu Hai, Ding Tai Feng is dirt cheap!!!
Thou the decorations not as grand as Singapore, but it is so damn cheap!

DSC00085
Cheap!!!

I purposely took e pictures down.
Wanted to show Bing li cos she loves e Ziao Long Bao in Ding Tai Feng...

DSC00087
Bing Li!!! See!

The Xiao Long Bao is less than 2 bucks for 12 pieces!
In Singapore, 2 dollars can only get you 2-3 pieces bah...

DSC00088
Bing Li, too bad I cant tabao for you leh... It was really nice! LoLz...
