The Boy Who Lived (Yet Again) Another Accident
Forgive me for the title... Juz finished reading Harry Potter, which explains the obsession (again)... Can't help it! The ending is so nice, kinda sad cos it's e ending! Would have liked to read more abt in between rather than "19 years later"!
Anyway, got into another accident yesterday! Yeah... Not my first time. Bet I'm one of the most experienced with accidents among u guys lor!
Anyway, I was driving with my parents along Bukit Timah, outside SMU. Suddenly there was a jam. And a car stopped in front of us quite abruuptly but I had time to brake lah. In fact, gave 'warnings' to the back. Had already 'braked' twice to warn the car behind. But got kinda near to the car in front and my brake was hard enuf and I din hit the car in front.
Just as I was thinking,
Whew... Close shave...
I got hit about 1.5-2 seconds later. I din exactly count but I was sure there was a 'break' before I got hit at the back. Luckily, my foot was still on the brake pedal and I din hit the car in front.
No fight at all. The case was obvious. It's the other party's fault cos she hit right smack into my car's buttocks lah... Nothing to argue one lor...
Female driver, kinda young. Only 20years old. Not sure if she will kena scolded by her parents... Think she lacked e experience too lah...
Kena accident twice but twice I dun ve to pay wor... So not I kayu ok! I never kena horned everytime I drive ok! But korkor always kena one lor!
And his himbotic mentality: ALways prepared to be honred when he drives! Muaahhaa!

To Help ot Not to Help?
Well, as mentioned earlier, there are many implications as a medical student and doctor. In Australia, doctors can choose not to step in to help when he or she saw someone collapse. Think that would be likewise in Singapore though.
Anyway, I saw this car accident a few days ago while looking around for houses, along clayton road. It was a one lane on each side road. So, one car was on the left side of that particular lane cos he wanted to turn into a small road opposite and on the right side was a car coming out of the parking slot. Then, some blur cock from behind driving juz dashed in front and hit both of the cars.
I did not 'see' the whole process but heard the band and saw the cars moving here and there. It happened just beside me, though on the opp side of the road. I was wondering if I should actually go and help. Cos I saw the drivers were all concious and the only thing I know is CPR which is redundant at that point of time. And, if anyone hurt their back, I cant possibly move them cos it can make it worse! I stood for a moment, and thought should I help???!!! My friend then pulled me away but I felt so bad cos as a medical student, I am 'supposed' to help but I din know what I could do at that time!
Well, it shows it's easy to say I will help if I see this and this but when you face it, it's really a different story.

Testing One's Upper Limit of Clumsiness
In life, there's always sort of a range for basically everything. Interlligence, weight, height etc...
For me, I had just tested the upper limit of clumsiness of human beings over the past one week. Sigh... Yes, I just tested it.
My table is the ultra old obiang wooden type with three drawers by the side. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, I opened the drawers and took out something. Then I left it opened. Forgot why, but I wanted to walk to another side of the room to get something and I kicked the damn drawers and scratched my leg. Started bleeding. The scratch was pretty long, though not exactly deep.
Anyway, I realised later that day that I scratched my thigh as well though I still do not know why and how did I scratched my thigh.
Yesterday, I opened the drawers to take out something again. Yes, you''re guessing it right. I kicked the fucking drawer again!!!
This time, I scratched the other leg! Damn it!
Now, it's more or less symmetrical with scars on both legs at around the same level! Damn it! Argghhh!!!
See, I've just tested the upper limit of clumsiness in man-kind. I'm so noble man... (-.-")

Moving out...
I will be moving out of Mannix next year. Finally, more freedom, slightly cheaper rent (I hope) and more personal space.
But, lots of trivial issues that crop up with it. Things din go that smoothly. Got to know some ppl more and had to choose who to move out with carefully.
Then, kena bansei half way by some ppl and one of the issues would be that I dun live in halls so not as close to some ppl and kinda difficult to get ppl to move out. But I still eventually found another room-mate to be. Hope things work out fine eventually.
Now, kinda having troubles finding the right house, at right locations and right price. So mafan! Argghhh...
Anyway, I'll be flying back to Singapore next week! Cos my bro is getting married and my dad asked me to come back. Wont be going out much cos have to study like hell! Cos I'm lagging behind everyone in terms of revision. Feeling kinda lost! So must try to catch up as much as I can before the end of the year, big big exam comes! Arggghhh... Hate exams, but love the feeling of anticipating for the results, especially when you know you should do reasonably well. Haha... Had my mid-sem results out liaoz! Kinda satisfied with it. But still must work hard lah...

Complain King Stikes Again!
Remember how I complained how I about this driver's rude behaviour earlier on?
I also mentioned that I've lodged a complain to his company who did not respond until I sent another email. They've finally replied. Email exchanges as below but some info blanco-ed
though:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to lodge a complain on a bus driver.
On 02 September 2007, 5.25pm, I took Bus 733 (License Plate XXXX) from Monash University Clayton Campus Bus Loop, Wellington Road , heading towards Oakleigh.
As I wasn't sure if the bus was heading towards Clayton Train Station, I asked the bus driver.
However, I was taken aback by the rude response. He asked if this was my first time taking this bus. As I seldom head towards Clayton, I said yes as I wasn't sure if I had taken this bus before. To this, the driver said harshly "Don't bullshit. This is not your first time."
As someone from oversea, I am taken aback by such level of customer service in Australia . I am very disappointed by such standards and bad experience on Ventura Bus. I do hope this is an isolated case and not some form of discrimintation against people from overseas.
I have taken Ventura Buses several times and this is the first time I am having such bad experience. I do hope you would investigate and prevent such incident from repeating to maintain the high standard of customer service in Ventura .
Thank you.
Regards,
Wei De, Tee
Dear Sir/Mdam,
As I have not heard from you since the last email I sent, I was wondering if the issue is being investigated.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you.
Regards,
Wei De, Tee
Dear Wei De Tee,
I have lodged your complaint with the appropriate Depot for investigation. This matter is one that will be handled by the supervisor and the Depot Manager. The driver will be interviewed and the matter thoroughly checked out. The Depot will get back to you once the matter has been fully investigated and an outcome reached.
Kindest Regards,

Hi Sir,
Thank you for you comments following a recent trip on one of Ventura ’s buses.
I have spoken with the driver, who sincerely apologies for his behaviour on that day.
This driver has been with the company for a long time and has no record of complaints in his file.
We certainly treat all cultures equally, and in fact employ people with a varied range of backgrounds.

I'm not expecting them to sack the driver or anything but point is, he was damn rude that day and I wasnt rude when I asked the question and I dun deserve that kind of attitude lah! Anyway, at least got my point across. Good service is always appreciated and bad service will leave a dark mark. Hmph!

Self Determination
I've learnt this word during one of the lecture this week when the lecturer was saying how Australians took away the land from the indigenous ppl a few hundred years ago balh blah blah and that the indigenous ppl want self determination, i.e to decide for their own blah blah blah...
Interestingly, sometimes, that is basically what we lacked.
I've been kinda anti-social recently, not wanting to go to the med ball, mannix annual dinner and some functions which the Singaporeans arranged...
Well, the med ball and annual dinner cost 75bucks and 60+ bucks respectively. It's damn expensive and not as if the food is splendid or what mah... Well, money may not be the most important thing but sometimes, I get kinda sick of having to be among big groups of ppl and having to 'entertain' others cos u ve to try to find conversation with others thou u may not know them well. It's kinda tiring and I often feel very drained after that.
Spending so much money for that doesnt seem to be very worthwhile, at least to me. I am those who prefer to be with small groups and frens and chit chat or smth rather than hanging around big gang of ppl.
Yesterday, the Singaporeans grp organised a late night 'horror movie' at someone's place. They rented a horror movie dvd and want to get everyone to watch it together. Sounds interesting but I wasnt very keen cos I need to sleep by 11!!! REMEMBER?! LoLz... And after the show, it wld be like 12-1am?! And then I will ve to walk back to Mannix by myself. Kinda sianz lah...
So, as usual, I din go. But I hate having to explain why I dun want to go and then the usual 'why like that?! Go lah!' kinda thing... but I was lucky cos living in Mannix means no pressuring from other ppl...
Shu and Fang din want to go but everyone just kept pressuring them. In fact, some ppl said some tactless stuff which I tot was really kinda rude and uncalled for. Then I started wondering, why ppl wanna get more ppl to go? No doubt 'the more the merrier' but seriously, when you eventually get everyone to go to a function, you'll realise you actually simply hanging out with the usual few ppl u hang out with isnt it? In fact, sometimes, you might not even speak a word to some ppl. Then why bother to pressurise and get everyone to go then? Some food for thought thou...
One more disgusting thing that happened to me in this week.
I wanted to take a bus to clayton and cos I do not usually go to clayton, I asked the bus driver if that bus was going to clayton. Guess what?
Fucker: Is this you first time taking the bus?
Me: Ermm... ya... (cos I seldom go to clayton and aint sure so I said ya)
Fucker: Bullshit. This is not your first time. Go inside.
The fucker then alighted the bus to smoke cos the bus arrived the stop a few minutes earlier than it was scheduled to.
This is ulterly rude! Never experienced that ever by some service provider lah! You'll never get that in Singapore lor! SMRT and SBS would give you verbal warning if you try and do that! Sigh... Now, my impression of Australian's Customer Service, which wasnt too good in the first place, has taken another dive. I had complained to the bus company which had not even bothered to reply after about 4 days. Sigh...

Inverloch Stikes back!
Well, basically the title has got nothing much with the content, just tat it's been quite some time since I last blogged abt Inverloch. Will only be mentioning the nicer part of the trip and not the disgusting part which I went thru, not so much with the place but more with the people.
Anyway, we were supposed to go to one of the primary industry when we get to the rural place to see how the main source of income in the area can affect the health and well being of the people there. The place I got to go was the fisheries and I got to eat free Fish and Chips! Though I wouldnt say it's that fantastic but it's free after all... LoLz!
These are some of the photos which I took.

Look pretty fantastic isnt it?! Muaahhaaa! Must see who was the photographer mah...
Though camera plays a part, but if the photographer was someone like korkor hor, haiz... never mind... (-.-") the photos wld be... as expected, isnt it? MUAAHHAAA!!!
Bet korkor wld be having a BF after seeing this! Tell you guys what's BF next time, provided someone asked abt it, otherwise, not gonna explain liaoz...lolz...
